All medical records and a complete vaccine history must be emailed to us prior to the appointment or a hard copy may be brought in the morning of surgery. Dogs must be on a secure leash, please no retractable leashes. Friendly cats must be safely contained in an appropriately sized cat carrier and feral cats must be in a humane cat trap.
Please make sure your animal does not have anything to eat after 9pm the night before their appointment. Drop-off is between 8:15am-8:45am, animals must be left in the vehicle until after check-in. Pick-up is at 3:00pm for dogs and 4:00pm for cats. We do not have overnight staff, all animals MUST be picked up no later than 5:00pm.
Cats must be 12 weeks old and at least 3lbs in order to receive surgery. Dogs must be at least 4 months old.
All animals must have a current Rabies vaccine and bring proof of a Rabies certificate. If an animal does not have a current Rabies vaccine, we require they receive one before arriving to the clinic OR we can give one while they are here.
We appreciate any behavior notice (fear, touch sensitivity, dog reactivity, etc.) prior to your appointment, that way we can make sure we take all measures to make your pet feel more comfortable and calm while in our care.
It is strongly recommended that all dogs wear a cone for at least 1 week after surgery. Licking of the incision site can cause an infection and lead to other possible complications. Plastic e-collars can be purchased at time of pick-up or you may buy a inflatable cone (suitable for female dogs only), soft sided cone, or surgical suit prior to your appointment at various pet stores or online.
